One of the busiest teams during the current summer transfer window is Aston Villa.
This summer, Villa Park has lost a number of key players, most notably Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby.
But the Midlands team has also added a number of excellent players, such as Amadou Onana, Lewis Dubbin, Ian Maatsen, Samuel Iling-Junior, Enzo Barrenechea, and Jaden Philogene.
On deadline day, Villa is reportedly hoping to sign Giovani Lo Celso, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, on a free transfer, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The 28-year-old is a free agent, but the Spurs are not prepared to let him go.
Although Lo Celso is rumored to not want to stay in the Premier League, he might be highly tempted to relocate to the Midlands and play in the Champions League.
In the summer of 2019, the Argentina international became a permanent member of Tottenham after first joining on loan.
However, he has struggled to make a huge impression for the North Londoners, participating in 108 games and scoring 10 goals. The 28-year-old has shown glimpses of his quality but has unable to provide regular performances.
Due to form and injury concerns, he only made four Premier League starts in the previous campaign.
But manager Unai Emery could be able to realize Lo Celso’s potential, as he has with a number of other players in the past.
Although Tottenham seems set on getting paid for the player, who has one more year on his deal, they may also sign the Argentine for free.
