Tragedy updates as four men dies after serious two vehicle collision leading road closure
The Las Vegas Sun, along with a number of other local
outlets, a Lamborghini crash on the circuit at a facility named SpeedVegas claimed the lives of two men. According to reports, the vehicle struck a tire barrier on a concrete wall and caught fire. Sadly, the teacher and the driver were both murdered at once. We verified that the accident is being looked into by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
The collision occurred at SpeedVegas, a facility that allows guests to drive high-performance sports vehicles, from the Porsche Cayman GTS to a Lamborghini Aventador, on a 1.5-mile closed circuit.
The website states that drivers simply need to be 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and wear closed-toe shoes; they do not require any prior driving experience. The driving charge includes insurance and helmets from the facility.
On its Twitter page, SpeedVegas posted an official statement regarding the crash, which can be read above. It attests to the crash’s occurrence and the company’s complete cooperation with the inquiry. Additionally, it conveys condolences to workers and relatives of the victims. For more information on the incident, we have also contacted SpeedVegas and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department directly; however, as of posting, we have not heard back. Additional information will be added to this post when it becomes available.
