Thomas Frank has suggested that Brentford have been treated unfairly when it comes to fixture scheduling?
Frank has implied that larger clubs have been given preference in the three games the Bees will play over the course of seven days, ending on Saturday at home against Nottingham Forest.
“The only teams in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals that have to play three games in seven days are us and Crystal Palace,” Bees manager Frank said.
It could be a coincidence that the other six teams, the larger clubs, are playing in eight or nine days. Perhaps the Premier League or EFL can provide an answer.
“The quickest turnaround is ours. We requested that the Nottingham Forest game be moved to Sunday, but they refused to assist due to the short notice. It is what it is.
“We’ll be right on it on Wednesday. We will also be fully focused on it on Saturday. On Wednesday, I’ll play an extremely good team.
Igor Thiago, who missed Sunday’s 2-1 loss against Chelsea due to a slight injury, might be a member of that squad. It is anticipated that he will resume his activities in St. James’ Park.
