Swindon Town in jubilation concerning their major attacker recovery time.

Mark Kennedy, the manager of Swindon Town, stated that they have received “good news” on Kabongo Tshimanga’s injuries.

During the most recent transfer window, Swindon Town made a quick move to sign the striker from Peterborough United on loan.

Although Tshimanga, 27, is expected to miss some time due to injury, it’s not as serious as initially thought.

“No [I don’t have a full assessment of Tshimanga], I haven’t spoken to Jackson [Bradley] about him today, Thursday is probably the most manic day of the week, and whilst I am very passionate about all of the players, the ones that are not training are very low on my priorities list,” manager Kennedy reportedly stated in the most recent update. The Swindon Advertiser reported this.

I would be shocked if the news turned out to be worse than what we were told because they didn’t seem really concerned about it and we thought it was excellent news.

Injury boost for Swindon Town
Tshimanga has to return to Swindon Town as soon as possible and safely.

He was brought in to strengthen their attacking unit this past summer, but in eight games since then, he has only managed one goal.

He was signed by Peterborough United in 2023, but since then, he has been on loan to Fleetwood Town and Boreham Wood, his previous teams.

The former England C international entered non-league football after rising through MK Dons’ academy.

Tshimanga briefly played for Oxford City and Boston United before making his debut at Boreham Wood in 2019.

Before Chesterfield came calling, he scored 41 goals in 88 games for the Hertfordshire club.

The man, who was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, managed to maintain his form with the Spirerites, scoring 33 goals in 53 games, which led to a transfer to Peterborough United.

Tshimanga has been given the opportunity to showcase his skills at the County Ground and experience a change of scenery thanks to Swindon Town.

However, as they get ready for their forthcoming away match against Cheltenham Town this weekend, he is currently in the treatment room.
