Swansea City want striker in January – Luke Williams’ side could face competition from ‘several other clubs’

Swansea City are in the picture to sign Wycombe Wanderers’ Richard Kone in the winter market, according to a report.

The Welsh club have scored 24 goals from 22 Championship games this season and want to improve their attack for the second half of this season.

Swansea City have included the Wycombe Wanderers player in their list for the upcoming window.

That’s at least what 225 Foot are reporting, and they state the 21-year-old is among the strikers Swansea City want to sign.

The Ivorian arrived at Wycombe Wanderers from Athletic Newham at the start of this year and signed a contract until 2026.

He scored 16 goals and registered six assists from 49 matches for the League One side of which 12 goals and two assists are from this season.

Kone’s performances would have convinced the Championship side to include his name in their target list for January.

The report adds there are ‘several other clubs’ showing interest in the frontman and their details aren’t mentioned.

This means Williams’ side could face competition from others to acquire his signature.

At this point in time, Kone ‘remains evasive’ about his future amid interest from Swansea City and other clubs.
