Patrick Kisnorbo’s next destination confirmed after Melbourne Victory exit
In the Japanese club where fellow Australians Ange Postecoglou, Kevin Muscat, Harry Kewell, John Hutchinson, Peter Cklamovski, Shaun Ontong, Arthur Papas, Ross Aloisi, and Harry Kewell have all served as head coaches or assistant coaches in recent years, Kisnorbo will take over under manager Steve Holland.
Following his abrupt departure from Melbourne Victory in mid-December, Kisnorbo was hired by Marinos.
Having agreed to a three-year contract as Victory’s head coach during preseason, Kisnorbo quit the position just seven league games into his debut season as head coach of the Isuzu UTE A-League team.
In a club statement, Kisnorbo stated, “I am thrilled to be joining Yokohama F. Marinos.”
“With talented players, committed employees, and fervent supporters and fans, I look forward to helping Manager Steve Holland achieve success on the field and cultivate a culture of excellence and teamwork.” I am so excited to start this amazing journey with all of you.
After serving as head coach of Melbourne City and ES Troyes in France, Kisnorbo has rejoined the City Football Group with his transfer to Marinos.
