New update as man dies after shocking incident in Walsall
Three arrested this morning, following fatal shooting in Walsall last night
Three teens have been arrested after a fatal shooting in Walsall. A murder investigation was launched after a man was fatally shot in the street in Walsall and a second man was hurt on evening.
Emergency services flooded the scene at around 5pm on Monday night to reports of a shooting on Well Lane in the Blakenall area of the town. The identification of the male victim has not yet been released by police.
West Midlands Police confirmed on Tuesday morning that three teenagers have been arrested following the shooting. All three men remain in custody as a murder investigation continues.

As the force’s murder probe gathers pace, West Midlands Police confirmed this morning that they had arrested three teenagers, one aged 18 and two 17-year-olds, following the fatal shooting.
A man, 50, told our reporter that incidents like this don’t happen in the area. He said: “I know what happened yesterday but I don’t know why. I have lived here for a very long time. It’s quiet here, this situation is the first time.”
Some semblance of normality has returned, as our reporter Jamie Brassington told us: “It’s a quiet neighbourhood, people are going about their daily business. Some motorists are stopping to observe the scene.”
