Police close Walsall major road after serious collision
Three people dead and five injured including one fighting for life after horror multiple car crash. Multiple agencies responded on the morning of October 12th after an accident involving four vehicles.
Four people were struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash in Walsall. The serious collision happened in Prince Street just before 5 pm yesterday.
Two of the four people were rushed to hospital. One of the crash victims was left in a serious condition.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident after the driver of the car left the scene. Prince Street and nearby Wednesbury Road were closed for several hours yesterday following the crash.
What did the emergency services say?
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews discovered two cars had been involved in a collision. Sadly, it quickly became apparent that the two adults and child who were in the first car could not be saved and they were confirmed dead at the scene.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson told BirminghamLive: “We’re investigating after four people were hit by a car in Prince Street, Walsall, at just before 5 pm today (12th October).
