A police officer has been rushed to hospital in Bracknell in ‘serious condition’ after being involved in a collision with a Land Rover on Sunday morning, while attending a blue-light call
A police officer has been rushed to hospital in serious condition after being involved in a car crash.
On Sunday morning at 10:30, emergency services were called to Bagshot Road, outside the Bracknell Leisure Centre, after a police vehicle was involved in a collision with a Land Rover.
The officer was rushing to a blue-light call when the incident happened. The road was closed for a short period of time afterward. However, the driver of the Land Rover is not believed to be injured.
On social media, images show the damaged front of a police van and a black Land Rover. A police car is also seen stationed at the scene.
Thames Valley Police said in a statement on their website: “At 10:30 am on Sunday 20 October a police vehicle was involved in a collision with a Land Rover on Bagshot Road in Bracknell. The police vehicle was on a blue light call when the collision occurred.
“Paramedics from North East Ambulance Service attended to the scene and assessed two officers inside the van – one officer has been taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
“The driver of the Land Rover is not believed to have sustained an injury. Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV footage is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference number 43240485231.”
