Lee Miller makes admission about Lennon Miller’s future amid Celtic’s transfer interest in his son
That has been proven by who they have brought in over the past few years, whether it’s Ange Postecoglou in the Celtic dugout or Brendan Rodgers.
From Matt O’Riley’s sale for a club-record move to Nicolas Kuhn’s ascent, these up-and-coming talents have transformed into diamonds, leaving you to wonder what lies ahead.
Next month, the winter transfer window will reopen, and Lennon Miller’s name has been circulating lately.
Miller is doing well at Motherwell Colours, and there are hints that the 18-year-old may be moving.
Nobody is more qualified to discuss his predicament than his father, Lee Miller, who had a successful career in Scotland’s top division in the 2000s.
It should come as no surprise that the Motherwell star began kicking a ball as soon as he could, since football runs in his family.
Miller’s father revealed that his son was playing for Celtic when he was six years old, but he “didn’t enjoy it” since he preferred to play for the Boys Club.
That road then led him to be scouted by Motherwell and the rest is now history, as Miller senior told the Warm Up.
Miller said of his kid, “It has always been the plan (play a lot of games then see what’s next).” “Lennon was in at Celtic when he was six years old. completed the six-week block pathway. They kept him on.
Then, for whatever reason, he reached the point where he wasn’t particularly enjoying it. All he wanted to do was play Boys Club. got him scouted for Motherwell after bringing him back into the Boys Club.
The Boys Club vibe was enjoyable, but the coaching was excellent. then continued to get stronger. The path was always obvious. Although there has been a clear path for him, I am aware that some people feel it’s something to discuss.
“I startred at Falkirk. Made my way through. Played a lot of games in the first team and then kicked on from there. He is doing the same thing. It’s not one size fits all.”
Celtic might have an interest in Miller, but there are other clubs in that conversation too, especially those in Italy.
What’s interesting here is that several Scottish players, especially midfield players – Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour and Lewis Ferguson – to name a few are now thriving in Serie A. Lennon’s dad was asked about his son’s future and he admitted that he expects him to move sooner rather than later.
“I think it is different times, in terms of that, especially Italy,” shared Miller on Serie A taking in Scottish players.
“Italy are looking at Scottish players, especially midfielders just now. For whatever reason, they are getting them across there and actually playing, which is a really good option.
“You need to be playing,” I would advise Lennon. His next move is crucial for him to play and grow once more. Playing for the U23s and then having to develop oneself is not something he wants to do. He presently plays for the first team.
For that, he is respected by others. His teammates hold him in high regard for that. It’s a challenging one. He enjoys playing a lot. He is enjoying being there right now and playing for Motherwell. However, it will soon reach the point where he must advance his career.
