Leamington Spa body found in river Leam identified by police

Authorities think they have identified the man whose body was found in a park river.

It is thought that the guy, who lived in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa, for 65 years, is the one whose body was discovered in the River Leam.

Police had said that the death was no longer being investigated and had appealed for assistance in identifying him.

Thanking everyone for sharing the appeal, Det Insp Teresa McKenna stated that formal identification was still pending.

We are keeping the man’s family in our prayers during this trying time, as they are being helped by cops with specialised training,” she said.

In an attempt to identify the individual, Warwickshire Police had posted a picture of a set of keys he was holding.
