Inter Miami told they have a player who could be more impactful than Lionel Messi

Inter Miami have now been told that one player in their squad could have a bigger impact on their success this year than Lionel Messi.

This weekend, the Herons defeated Club Puebla 2-0 to begin their Leagues Cup campaign. David Martinez made his debut, while Inter Miami’s goals came from Luis Suarez and Matias Rojas.

Suarez provided an update on Lionel Messi’s recuperation, revealing that the striker will likely take some time to return to full health after missing his team’s third straight game due to injury.

However, Inter Miami may now possess a player more valuable than the current Ballon d’Or winner.

Pundit Matt Doyle discussed new Inter Miami signing Martinez during an appearance on MLS Extratime. Martinez signed last week and made his debut against Puebla on Saturday, keeping a clean sheet.

Based on his early performances, Martinez has filled a need for a fresh addition to Inter Miami’s defense, and Doyle believes the Paraguay international can raise the Herons’ game and help them come closer to becoming an unstoppable force in MLS.

Doyle stated: “He appeared well. Nothing about his performance in this test leapt out to me, partly because it’s Puebla and not a very challenging exam, especially at home. However, I believe Martinez is the one who raises their floor if Messi is the one, much like his comeback raises Miami’s ceiling.

“Martin Martinez is a good example of the kind of player Miami needs to improve upon in order to become the kind of team that the Crew has becomeā€”a club that is virtually unbeatable. He had a good first impression. I’m interested in following his progress over this month.

As Doyle pointed out, Martinez gives Inter Miami the playmaker that they have been wanting despite their amazing talent on the team: playing out of the back.

Not only would having a defender who can play out of the back aid Inter Miami’s key players this season, but it will also benefit Messi and other star players in the lineup.

Martinez has been a wise addition to the Herons, and he may play a significant role in the Florida team’s success this season. Additionally, Messi may greatly benefit from having a defender who can pass out of the back.

After suffering an injury in the Copa America final, the Argentine sensation has missed the last three Inter Miami games. The Herons have won seven of the previous eight games without the 37-year-old striker.

The fitness issues that have dogged Inter Miami throughout the season have returned with Luis Suarez’s injury, but Tata Martino’s team has managed to take first place in the Supporters’ Shield competition.

A fitness update for Messi has also been released before of Saturday’s match.

Journalist Jose Armando claims that Messi did not participate in the first portion of Inter Miami’s morning session, suggesting that the forward may be used in practice early today for the Herons.

“Lionel Messi was absent in the first part of training this morning,” Armando wrote. Alba, Busquets, and Suarez all trained without any problems. Working alongside his comrades once more is Sergii Kryvtsov.

The fact that Messi is training in some form will cheer Inter Miami fans even though there is no official word on whether the attacker will play this weekend against Tigres.

Since Messi hasn’t participated in a club match in nearly two months, the Florida team is in excellent shape, so having the Argentine back in the mix might make the MLS favorites unbeatable in the League Cup.

Despite losing their star forward to injury and the Copa America, Inter Miami has managed to weather the storm without Messi in some way, and the Herons are looking better than ever.

Furthermore, with the Florida team already appearing unbeatable, there’s a good potential that Inter Miami will improve much further if Messi returns next month.

Supporters will be thrilled to hear that Messi is almost returning, and opponents will be concerned about what will happen when the 37-year-old rejoins Inter Miami on the field.

After acquiring David Martinez from River Plate last week, the Herons have finally entered the summer transfer window. Tata Martino is already pleased with what he has seen from the Paraguay international.

A big name may be set to travel to Florida this summer to join forces with players like Messi, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets, as Inter Miami has also been connected to players like Sergio Ramos and James Rodriguez.

And it looks like the Herons are trying to sign one of these players.

Sergi Roberto, a Spanish international who left Barcelona this summer when his contract expired, is now a free agent, and Inter Miami has reportedly made an approach for him, according to Pasion Futbol.

Roberto, a player Messi played nearly 250 games with at Barcelona, is anticipated to sign a new contract this summer after finishing his 14-year career with the Catalan giants.

Inter Miami’s approach for the adaptable fullback Roberto is a major indication of the Florida team’s ambition to establish the Herons as one of the greatest teams in the world, especially since Arsenal is rumored to be considering a move for the player as well.

Additionally, Roberto’s signing by Inter Miami would be another bold move by Tata Martino, whose team has the potential to win up to three trophies this year if they continue to play at their current level in every competition.

After resolving the center-back situation, Inter Miami can now turn their attention to potential superstar additions, and Roberto would be a great match for the Herons this summer.

Roberto, a right back, is 32 years old and in a position in his career where MLS could be attractive to him. The defender might be open to reuniting with players like Messi, Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

In fact, Roberto’s old Barcelona teammates appear to be enjoying their time in Florida, and if Inter Miami and the Spanish international can come to an agreement, the La Masia graduate may be eager to follow suit.
