Next season, the Black and Whites will appear very different under John Cartwright.
Next season, Hull FC will field a revamped team under new head coach John Cartwright. In addition to the three permanent additions made since Richie Myler’s hiring back in April, the Black and Whites have officially announced six acquisitions thus far, including Cade Cust, who was also signed and sealed. The team has also started to pursue Aidan Sezer, who may be able to fill one of the two quota seats that are still open. Here, Hull Live examines the club’s plans for the upcoming season. Logan Moy, 19, is the full-back.
This season, the adolescent full-back has shown promise, holding off Jack Walker’s competition. With the arrival of Treigh Stewart, the team has also made no secret of their desire to add another full-back, which which fell through after allegations of domestic abuse against him back in Australia. The final quota spot could again go in that direction.
Zak Hardaker, 32, is in the center.
Because of his expertise and competitiveness, Hull has signed the previous Grand Final winner, who will join the team for a two-year contract. He’s been a good player for Leigh lately.
Ed Chamberlain, 28 in the center
After coming back for a second loan stint of the season last month, the outside back—who can also play back row—signed a three-year contract.
Tom Briscoe (34), wing
Due to his expertise and high standards, the club lured the seasoned winger back. Having inked an 18-month contract in April, he will continue to play into 2025, vying with Harvey Barron for a position on Hull’s right edge.
