As preparations heat up, all the most recent information and rumors about transfers pertaining to Premier League clubs.
The new Premier League season will begin in less than two weeks, and with several transfers to finalize before the season begins, clubs are beginning to feel the excitement.
Clubs have until the end of August, of course, to complete their business, but most will want to lock down their teams before the game, and this summer’s international competitions have only made matters more crowded. We have compiled all of the most recent information and transfer rumors pertaining to the elite teams as the season progresses.
After acquiring Jorge Cuenca from Villarreal this summer, Fulham is probably going to need to add another defensive player. This is due to the fact that long-serving star Tim Ream is expected to rejoin MLS team Charlotte FC upon his return to the United States, via HITC.
Ream will leave the team this summer, following center-back Tosin Adarabioyo, and Fulham will now reportedly try to acquire a replacement before the transfer window closes.
Sander Berge, a midfielder for Burnley, is reportedly being pursued by Manchester United. The Red Devils are reportedly in contact with the midfielder’s camp already as they try to bolster their midfield options, according to The Athletic.
The 26-year-old was connected to teams like Arsenal and Liverpool in the past, but after leaving Sheffield United at the end of the previous season, he had to settle for Burnley. After barely a year, Berge is now anticipated to move on again following a second consecutive demotion. Rumor has said that a major relocation to Old Trafford is imminent.
According to reports, Tottenham repelled Real Madrid this summer due to their interest in Cristian Romero. Real Madrid reportedly approached Spurs to see if they could work out a deal for the Argentine defender this summer and was prepared to make an offer, according to Gaston Edul.
However, the story goes on to say that Tottenham informed Los Blancos that their defense will not be sold this summer, regardless of price. Romero said to ESPN F90, amid reports of his impending departure: “I always try to play at my best. I’m very respectful of Tottenham. This place has always supported me greatly, which is why I enjoy playing here. I don’t consider the prospects of other clubs. “I’m not worried; I know there’s a lot of discussion about a potential relocation. In contrast to the national squad, I play more forward for my club. I want to see where I can go in the remaining years I have in Europe. We’re hoping to win a trophy at Tottenham this year.”
