  • 100g dark chocolate , roughly chopped
  • 400g strawberries
  • 30g white and milk chocolate , roughy chopped (optional)

Fresas con Chocolate recipe step by step

  1. Remove and set aside a strip of baking parchment.
  2. To melt the dark chocolate, fill a small saucepan partly with water and bring to a simmer. Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl on top of the pan, ensuring it does not come into contact with the water.
  3. Continue swirling the chocolate to melt it. Alternatively, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 20-second bursts until thoroughly melted, stirring after each burst.
  4. Melt the chocolate in a small deep bowl.
  5. Dip the strawberries in the chocolate while holding the leafy tops. With a rag, wipe away any excess chocolate and place it on the parchment to set. If you have any leftover chocolate, pour it onto a fresh strip of paper and save it for later.
  6. If you wish to dress up the strawberries, melt the white and milk chocolate and lightly sprinkle it over them.
