Former Reading FC player is back in action after he signed a short-term deal with AFC Wimbledon
The 35-year-old had been without a club after his contract with the Royals expired in the summer and he’s now joined the League Two side on a one-month deal.
Hutchinson struggled with injury issues throughout his two seasons at Reading and managed to make a total of 26 appearances for the club.
He made 12 appearances under Selles last season after playing 11 times in the Championship under Paul Ince when the Royals were demoted in the 2022–2023 season.
The 35-year-old now plays for the Dons, who are in sixth place after 18 games and are vying for promotion.
“He’s a fit lad, he’s experienced, and he’s played hundreds of games in the leagues above ours,” AFC Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson stated on the team’s official website.
He was prepared and available to start training right immediately. He has a fantastic opportunity to improve his fitness and get matches.
Since we are dealing with an unexpected injury condition, it helps us in the short term. Because he is at ease in both midfield and defense, he also provides flexibility.
