The origin of the fire remains undisclosed.
The blaze broke out on Cowlishaw Road, in Chell Heath, over the bank holiday weekend.
The alarm was raised at 9.40pm on Saturday.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called by the police to reports of a property fire on Cowlishaw Road. An ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene and assessed one man who had escaped the property fire. He sustained minor injuries but declined hospital treatment and was discharged at the scene.”
