Emergency response as armed police take over Ramsgate
Today, August 15, armed police raided two locations in Ramsgate in an apparent related event.
At 2:30 p.m., police sped to Newington in Thanet, and they are also stationed on Kings Street in the town center.
Armed police officers are pointing their rifles at a residence from behind police cars parked outside the shops in Newington, next to Spar.
Incredibly, images from Ramsgate’s town center show armed police, but it seems like they’re out there even more.
Although it’s unclear at this time whether the two occurrences are related, witnesses at the scene think they are.
Another neighbor, who also wished to remain anonymous, said: “They are searching for someone and believe he may be inside. I don’t know why he is wandering around the outside of the house; they want to be checking inside.” “But that’s all we know right now; it’s difficult to get any information out of anyone. The only thing we do know is that there was a man in a car with his mother and he saw the man get shot.”
“We’re not sure if that was a real gun or a pellet gun.”
Kent Police, who have not yet reacted to demands for information, have not verified this information.
“Obviously armed police are here and the road is shut at this time,” an officer at the scene stated.
“As I am using a separate radio channel from the other officers, I am unable to determine whether the two incidents are connected.”
In the second incident, which may be connected, armed police have also been observed in Ramsgate town centre this afternoon.
At roughly 3:30 PM today, Kent Police officers were spotted in King Street, directly across from Halifax, with a vehicle, firearms, and a police dog.
In Newington, the road has been closed, and bus schedules have been adjusted to account for the police encounters.
People in the area are left wondering what’s going on.
