Deaths leads to Chaos on major junction as vehicle on fire and multiple casualties

After several vehicles, one of which took fire, were involved in a collision, a number of persons received medical attention for their injuries.

At around 8:50 a.m. on Monday, August 26, three automobiles were involved in an accident in the Suffolk region.

The collision caused the A1065 and B1112 intersection at Eriswell, close to Mildenhall, to close.

When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they discovered many victims in need of first aid and one burning vehicle, according to Suffolk Fire and Rescue.

Authorities said that the route was still closed and that an oil leak was being handled by highway personnel.

Where was the accident that occurred?
The event that has caused traffic disruptions in the Suffolk region was initially reported on Monday morning at 8:50 a.m.

A few miles south of RAF Lakenheath, near the intersection of the A1065 and the B1112, was where the three-vehicle collision occurred.

Both directions of the A1065 remain closed to traffic.

‘Alternative routes’ are requested of drivers while the police handle the situation.
The A1065 and B1112 intersection at Eriswell is still closed as a result of an automobile collision, therefore drivers are being urged to take alternate routes.

Following a car crash, two engines from Mildenhall and Brandon were dispatched to the area.

On Facebook, the Brandon Fire Station stated: “Brandon attended an RTC / car fire along with appliance from Mildenhall, on arrival crew found 3 x Vehicles that had collided with one vehicle fully involved in fire, crews gave first aid to multiple casualties and used breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire, as well as scene safety.”

Emergency services are on the scene of a three-vehicle collision. According to Suffolk Police, they were called in after several cars collided at the intersection of Brandon Road and the B1112 in Eriswell.

“Emergency services are on the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving 3 vehicles at the junction of A1065 & B1112 at #Eriswell near #Mildenhall,” the statement sent on Monday morning said.

“The road is currently closed in both directions and drivers are asked to use alternative routes.”
