Christopher Clark jailed for child sex image offences
A sex offender who shared child abuse images with others on the internet has been jailed – after he was caught keeping online secrets from police.
Christopher Clark, 38, admitted to breaking the rules for sexual offenders and was sentenced to prison for hoarding and sharing the pornographic images of children. The incident occurred at his home address in Cocklebie Road, Stewarton between February 2 and April 18, 2022. After his admission, more time was added to his sentence.
According to court records, Clark most recently resided on Cambuslang’s School Street. He also acknowledged sharing the graphic images with other pedophiles from March 2 to April 13 of the same year.
Prosecutors accepted not guilty pleas to two more charges: one for producing the photographs and another for owning an additional image that showed extreme pornography.
After his initial court appearance last year, Clark was added to the sex offenders register. However, he broke the law again by neglecting to notify the police of his internet conduct.
Clark entered a guilty plea to the charges of using the internet monikers “Ayrshirelad” and “Ayrshirelad22” and neglecting to notify the police within three days of doing so.
In addition to serving a four-month sentence for violating the sex offender rule, he was sentenced to eighteen months in prison for both possessing and sharing the photos.
Additionally, Clark—who was represented by attorney Brian Holliman—was informed that he will be added to the sex offenders register for a ten-year period.
