Body recovered from river in Saxmundham update gives by police
A man’s body has been found in the River Orwell in Ipswich.
On Tuesday, October 10, just before 3:30 p.m., police received a complaint regarding a male who had fallen into the water at the wet dock area off of Helena Road.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, HM Coastguard, and police all participated in the multi-agency search effort that was started. There was also the East of England Ambulance Service.
Unfortunately, a corpse was found and recovered last night at around 11 p.m. as the searches went into the evening.
There is no reason to suspect the death, and a file will be ready for the coroner soon. The man’s heirs have been informed.
