Aston Villa take on Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in New Jersey for their fourth pre-season friendly.

In the second match of their preseason tour, Aston Villa will meet RB Leipzig, a team in the Champions League, at the Red Bull Arena in America. After last weekend’s 4-1 loss to Columbus Crew, Unai Emery is anticipating a much better showing.

With two strong finishes in his past two games, young striker Cameron Archer will be looking to maintain his excellent goal-scoring form this summer and give himself the best opportunity of playing at Villa Park for the forthcoming campaign.

As the season draws closer and Emery’s team prepares to meet West Ham on August 17, the Villans will be hoping to have more experienced players in the starting lineup. Several people are back in training, including Youri Tielemans, Captain John McGinn, and Jacob Ramsey.

With Copa America winner Emiliano Martinez on vacation, goalkeeper Robin Olsen is expected to start after sitting out the match against Columbus. Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa, both England internationals, are still unavailable while they recuperate from their European Championship campaign.

The Slovenian international will be hoping to better his 18 goals recorded last season at club level.

Sesko’s skill from a dead ball and long-distance shooting will be a concern for Villa, with Emery’s side having reoccurring issues from defending set pieces. Villa’s center defenders are expected to be in for a tough encounter.

Even though Sesko is usually a striker, his advanced thinking and willingness to drop deep to drive the ball forward will compel Villa to be mindful of wide spaces uncovered.

After a stop-start season, boyhood Aston Villa supporter Jacob Ramsey will be hopeful this season is his. Every time Ramsey made his return to the team last season, his foot problem would once again arise.

A big season ahead for him, Ramsey can play numerous roles in Emery’s preferred system with his ability to drive the ball forward and break down a low block. A significant miss for Villa last season but might be a star this term.
