The Wests Tigers have confirmed that they have signed one of the best young outside backs in either the rugby league or rugby union code on a long-term contract.
Heamasi Makasini, a centre, has signed his first NRL contract, which will keep him there until the end of the 2027 season, despite being pursued by a number of rival NRL and Rugby Australia teams.
As a member of the U18 Australian Wallabies team and the current Harold Matthews Cup Player of the Year, the deal will propel him into the Top 30 starting in 2026.
