So who replaces Eberechi Eze against Arsenal? Crystal Palace boss asked if summer signing will step in

Oliver Glasner must now choose how to replace Eberechi Eze in attacking midfield as he is not available for today’s Premier League matchup against Arsenal.

The England international was only benched on Friday, which was a relatively late move. He is expected to be prepared for the Boxing Day match against Bournemouth.

After being sent out for three games after his red card against Fulham and not used as a substitute for the fourth, Daichi Kamada has now played 30 minutes in both of the last games.

Today, Glasner was questioned about whether Kamada would replace him in the starting lineup.

“We have different options in that area,” he stated. Daichi played a tough game at Arsenal and performed admirably against Brighton. We have Justin [Devenny], who excelled in his games when he played, such as at Villa, and Eddie [Nketiah], who can play in this position.

We simply concluded this morning that it doesn’t make sense for Ebs to play tomorrow, so these are our options. Though I haven’t decided yet, I believe one of these three players will start tomorrow.

Given his struggles when playing a deeper midfield role due to injuries, it will be intriguing to see how he does in a more comfortable role, especially given the team’s overall improved performances.
