Plymouth Argyle prospect to return in the summer after latest loan development

Plymouth Argyle have let the prospect extend his stay with the National League South side until next summer, they are currently top of the league as they eye promotion back to the National League.

The 20-year-old Jenkins Davies has made 19 appearances for the Gulls in all competitions so far this season, contributing four goals and four assists. They are back in action this weekend when they play Hemel Hempstead Town at home. They are now one point ahead of Boreham Wood and Weston-super-Mare at the top of the league.

Paul Wotton’s team will benefit greatly this winter as the Pilgrims have declared on their website that their loanee will be staying at Plainmoor for a longer period of time.

In order to further his development, Plymouth Argyle will be hoping Jenkins Davies can continue to receive a lot of playing time in the upcoming months.

In order to gain more experience, he was granted permission to temporarily rejoin Torquay United in mid-September and stay there until January.

The Wales youth international spent time with the Gulls in the last campaign and played 36 matches altogether, scoring eight goals.

Jenkins Davies is looking to assist his loan team improve after maintaining his strong play this season.

The youngster has been a regular for the Pilgrims at various different youth levels and has played 12 times for their senior team to date.

Next year, Jenkins Davies will return to Plymouth Argyle, and they will need to decide what to do with him.

Their primary goal in the interim is to maintain their position in the Championship.

Wayne Rooney’s team is in the relegation zone, along with Portsmouth and Hull City, and now sits in 23rd place in the table.
