Getafe chief discusses possible re-signing of AFC Bournemouth Star
Getafe parted ways with the Turkish striker at the beginning of 2024. He first signed a loan agreement with AFC Bournemouth, which was extended to a permanent one in the summer.
His tenure in the Premier League hasn’t been particularly productive, though, and as a result, there has been conjecture about his future.
Unal has seen far fewer minutes than anticipated this season due to playing second-fiddle to fellow attacker Evanilson. On Monday night, he did score a beautiful free kick against West Ham United, but it is unlikely that this will help him.
According to Marca, club president Angel Torres discussed the possibility of a potential return to Getafe on Tuesday.
Unal would be a much-needed addition forĀ Getafe, who have struggled in attack without the injured Borja Mayoral. However, a deal is highly improbable for financial reasons.
