£50,000-a-week Everton player now set to stay despite asking to leave Goodison Park
Plans for the winter window are already being developed, and the Friedkin Group is scheduled to take over as Everton’s new owners this week.
Although Sean Dyche is anticipated to have money on hand, PSR restrictions will force American investors to place a cap on his expenditures.
Everton may need to implement a sell-to-buy strategy because they are still having financial problems with the Premier League.
However, one player who was expected to depart is now probably going to stay at Goodison Park, making dealing a top priority in their transfer plans.
Everton News revealed earlier this month that Beto had been dissatisfied with his lack of playing time and has asked to leave Goodison Park this winter.
Due to his continued preference for the unproductive Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dyche has only started the £30 million forward once this season.
According to earlier reports, Everton was prepared to give Beto his wish to depart, and a return to Serie A was extremely likely.
Both Torino and Juventus were interested in signing him, and a loan with a buyout option had been suggested.
But now, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Everton are not prepared to sanction a January transfer for Beto.
As a result, Torino have now walked away from the deal and are focusing on trying to sign Inter Milan’s Marko Arnautovic instead.
Beto might have recently been dropped to third-choice striker after Chelsea loanee Armando Broja has recovered from an Achilles injury.
After seeing Broja’s cameo against Arsenal, Everton supporters were so enthused that they encouraged Dyche to start him instead of Calvert-Lewin going forward.
It appears that Beto is even more behind in his quest to start for Everton, thus the club’s decision to prevent a January departure is odd.
Beto and his rumored (Capology) £50,000-per-week salary should be sold, as Youssef Chermiti is also about to return to the Toffees.
