Contact initiated over signing Bournemouth player – Uncertainty over January or summer approach

The attacking midfielder struggled in the first half of last season and the Cherries sent him out on loan to Napoli in the winter 2024 market.

Hamed Traore initially joined AFC Bournemouth on loan in January 2023 and they made his stay permanent later that year.

His situation didn’t improve at the Serie A side and he returned to Bournemouth in the summer.

Andoni Iraola left the 24-year-old out of his core plans for this season and Bournemouth sent him out on loan to AJ Auxerre in August. He’s impressed for the Ligue 1 side, scoring six goals and registering an assist from 12 league games.

AS Monaco has taken notice of his “excellent performances” for Auxerre this season. Manuele Baoicchini, a journalist at Sky Italia, said as much, as reported by Area Napoli.

According to him, Monaco has already gotten in touch with both their Ligue 1 counterpart and the Ivory Coast international. Monaco can negotiate a deal with Bournemouth because Auxerre has neither the option nor the responsibility to make his stay permanent.

Traore’s contract with the Premier League team expires in 2028, and Monaco hasn’t made any progress in their negotiations for him as of yet.

According to Baoicchini, Monaco must choose between making an offer in January and waiting until the summer of next year for the Bournemouth player.
