Woman, 82, fighting for life after car crash in Bradford
POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses after an elderly woman suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash this morning.
The 82-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in the crash on Rawdon Road, Horsforth, which remains closed as police investigate.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision on Rawdon Road, Horsforth.
“Officers were called at 10:30 am today (October 23) by the ambulance service to reports two vehicles had been in collision.
“The driver of the blue Ford Fiesta, an 82-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is described as critical.
“The driver of the other vehicle a red Audi S3 was not injured.
“The road remains closed whilst enquiries are carried out.

A automobile accident near Old Pool Bank and Otley Bypass injured two people.
Following the collision that occurred on Leeds Road between Old Pool Bank and Otley Bypass, police have released an appeal for additional information.
“At 8:32 p.m. yesterday, emergency services were called to a traffic collision on the A660 Leeds Road, approximately halfway between Old Pool Bank and Otley Bypass,” a West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman stated.
In the collision, a blue BMW 430 traveling in the opposite way collided with a grey Vauxhall Zafira heading towards Otley.
“The fire department had to take the 42-year-old Rotherham guy who was driving the Zafira from the car.
“He was brought to the hospital to receive treatment for injuries deemed critical but not life-threatening.
“A 34-year-old Leeds lady who was driving the BMW was also admitted to the hospital for non-life-threatening medical treatment.
“While emergency personnel handled the site, a road closure was implemented; it was removed just after midnight.
