Police and paramedics raced to 999 reports of a crash which closed part of the road in Bedworth. Passers-by spotted the emergency services in Dark Lane.
An ambulance and police patrol cars were in the area. Part of the road, close to its junction with Potters Road, was blocked off.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) has confirmed it responded to reports of a two-car collision. The 999 call came in 2:30 pm.
“We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on Dark Lane at 2:30 pm, one ambulance attended the scene,” a WMAS spokesperson said. “On arrival, we discovered two patients, a man and a woman.
“Following assessment, they were both treated and discharged at the scene.”

A man was found seriously injured in the street in Bedworth following an assault. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) has confirmed that an ambulance and a specialist paramedic responded to 999 calls made in McMahon Road.
Reports on social media suggested that an air ambulance tried to land on the green on nearby Cashmore Road. Police cars were blocking part of the road.
A WMAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.56pm on Saturday to reports of an assault on Mcmahon Road in Bedworth. One ambulance and a specialist paramedic attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a man with potentially serious injuries.”
The spokesperson added: “He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to George Eliot Hospital for further assessment.”
