A blue Ford Transit van and a pedal cycle were involved in the collision, which occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. It is thought that both vehicles were travelling west on the B6165 close to Burnt Yates.
The collision happened at around 6:10 p.m. on , October 16 and included a pedal cycle and a blue Ford Transit van. Both cars are believed to have been heading west on the B6165 at Burnt Yates.
Since then, he has been freed while police investigations are ongoing.
For several hours, the road was blocked to enable for forensic collision investigations and emergency services to respond to the scene.
“We are grateful to the members of the public who stopped to assist at the scene,” a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.
Anyone with pertinent dashcam or CCTV footage, someone who saw the vehicle or rider before the crash, or someone who saw the collision but hasn’t yet spoke with officers, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Investigation Team.
