Live update: Road close after lorry overturn in Yeovil
Crash blocks A37 Dorchester Road from Dorchester and Yeovil
Following an overturned vehicle in a mishap, a main route was closed.
A single vehicle incident involving an overturned vehicle was reported to Avon and Somerset Police on the A37 Dorchester Road between Dorchester and Yeovil.
Together with the ambulance service, officers arrived at the scene.
There haven’t been any injuries reported.
Around 11:57 a.m., a road closure was implemented between the East Coker and Ryme Intrinseca turn-offs.
There were also reports of slow traffic in the region.
At roughly 2:00 pm, the road reopened.
“We were called at 11.42am to a report that a car had overturned in a single vehicle collision on the A37 Dorchester Road, near Closworth,” an Avon and Somerset Police spokeswoman stated.
“Officers blocked the route to enable the recovery of the vehicle while they responded alongside the ambulance service.
“There were no reported injuries.”
The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) released the following statement: “We dispatched a double-crewed land ambulance to the area after receiving a call at 12:01 p.m. on Monday, July 15th, regarding an incident near Yeovil.”
