Driver trapped, two killed and toddler saved by car seat after Harrogate crash

Road closed by police due to 'serious' collision

The incident occurred on Saturday evening at approximately 18:00 BST in Otley Road, close to Wharfedale Place in Harrogate.

When police from North Yorkshire Police arrived on the scene, they discovered two individuals who appeared to have been involved in an incident.

The two guys were brought to a hospital; one was in his 60s and the other in his 30s.

According to a force official, an investigation into the incident’s circumstances has begun.

Overnight, a road in North Yorkshire was closed while law enforcement responded to a “serious” collision.

North Yorkshire Police reported that traffic was closed on Saturday evening on the B6451 near Harrogate.

The intersection of Penny Pot Lane and the A59, between Norwood and that road, was closed up.

Traffic Information Service On Saturday evening , Inrix verified that the route was back in operation. Information has been requested from the police.
