Man arrested of murder after woman’s body found at home
A 78-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder
Following the discovery of a woman’s body inside a Warwickshire home, a man has been detained on suspicion of murder. This morning, Tuesday, October 11, at a property in Rugby’s Aqua Place, a find was found.
At 9.39 am, the police were contacted. The woman’s age was assumed to be in her seventies.
A 78-year-old Rugby resident was taken into custody at the site on charges of murder. He was treated for his wounds at the hospital, according to the police.
“This is a tragic incident, and we have launched an investigation to establish what has happened,” stated Det Chief Insp Helen Waite of the Warwickshire Police Major inquiry Unit. Officers with specialised training have been notified and are providing support to the woman’s family. As of right now, we think the incident was restricted to the property and that the general public was not in danger.
