The government has confirmed that UK military participated in the reaction to Iran’s attacks on Israel during the course of the night.
As Iran conducted a missile attack on Israel, Defense Secretary John Healey stated that British soldiers had “this evening played their part in attempts to prevent further escalation.”
He did not elaborate, although the BBC says that UK fighter jets were involved, as they were during Iran’s previous missile attack on Israel in April.

The Israeli military claims that 180 missiles were used in Iran’s attack. This occurred just hours after Israel invaded southern Lebanon on foot, describing its actions as “limited, localized, and targeted” attacks against Hezbollah.

Sir Keir Starmer stated on Tuesday that the UK “stands with Israel” and acknowledges its right to self-defense in a statement from Downing Street.
