Woman and her Dog dies after injured in dog attack

Following an incident involving two additional dogs that resulted in a dog dying and a lady being hurt, police are looking for witnesses.

The event happened on Tuesday, August 13, at about eight in the morning on the beach close to Sizewell Hall.

The woman, in her twenties, was out on a stroll with her dachshund when two dogs, maybe Staffordshire bull terriers, attacked it.

The dachshund tragically passed away after the incident, and the woman was hurt while trying to separate the dogs and needed medical attention.

Officers are looking into the incident and collaborating with partners to make sure canines are kept under control in the area and that everyone who uses the beach and its environs is safe, according to Inspector Liz Casey.

“We will evaluate all and any relevant measures with regard to those concerned once the investigation is concluded.

“Please be advised that it is your duty to make sure your dog is under control and does not jeopardise the safety of others.”

If you have any information or were present at the event, please get in touch with Suffolk police by using reference 37/46135/24.
