The Bhoys and Norwich City reached an agreement for the permanent signing of Adam Idah. The 23-year-old striker will now become a permanent member of Celtic Park after making a big impression while on loan there last season.

With the Republic of Ireland international, Celtic has agreed to a deal for up to £9.5 million, making him one of their most costly acquisitions to date.

Today, August 13, Idah is traveling to Scotland for his medical examination.

Before the window closes, Brendan Rodgers now wants to recruit another stopper and a new left-back.

To sign the 22-year-old defender, the Scottish champions and the Reds have started preliminary negotiations. They haven’t been able to come to an agreement on a fee for the player yet, despite their desire to sign him on loan in January.

The Premier League’s biggest teams are prepared to let him go permanently this summer, and they’re looking for a price of about £3 million plus further add-ons.

Beck is a top choice for the Bhoys when they look to add a new left-back to challenge Greg Taylor.

At left back, Liverpool has Kostas Tsimikas and Andrew Robertson, so it will be difficult for Beck to break into the starting lineup. Many Championship teams, notably Leeds and Middlesbrough, are interested in signing the Welsh defender, but Celtic wants to move quickly to arrange a deal.

Beck had a terrific loan period at Dundee, so there’s no reason to think he can’t have the same success at a strong team like Celtic.
