Hundreds of drivers were found to be endangering their lives.

Road enforcement officials have captured shocking footage of drivers engaging in “manscaping” on the freeway.

Officers apprehended 240 drivers on the motorway network who were endangering their own or others’ lives during the course of a five-day operation while riding in an unmarked HGV.

Officers may peer into cars below and into larger and HGV trucks thanks to the disguised HGV cab that National Highways provides.

The officers conducted patrols on the M1, M18, and A1 during the earlier this month operation.

45 of the 240 drivers who were pulled over had been seen using a cellphone while operating a vehicle.

Furthermore, 31 motorists were prosecuted for stopping on the hard shoulder, two for speeding, and three for passing through a red X.

176 HGVs, 41 LGVs, and 57 vehicles were among those who were stopped.

“Enforcing against those who pose a risk on our roads is daily business for officers, and we’re always keen to make the most of being provided the cab by National Highways to support our work,” Roads Policing Inspector Matt Collings stated.

“Since we last conducted this operation in May, which was less than three months ago, eight more individuals have tragically died on South Yorkshire’s roads.

“We are dedicated to making every effort to lower the number of road fatalities and injuries, but we are unable to be everywhere; road users are accountable for their own safety and behavior.

The Fatal4 include the most common offenses that lead to deadly and catastrophic crashes in South Yorkshire, including speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, using a cell phone while driving, and not fast enough to buckle up. You can steer clear of all of them as a driver. While you have no influence over what other people do, you do have power over your own.

“You will probably be facing a lengthy prison sentence if you kill someone or cause them serious harm. Consider if the danger is worthwhile.
