June 3, 2025 — Caribbean Sea — A 29-year-old pregnant woman has mysteriously vanished during a midnight excursion aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s newest deep sea route, just days after the vessel’s maiden voyage. Authorities are investigating what appears to be a baffling disappearance under unusual circumstances.
The woman, identified as Emily Hartman from Tampa, Florida, was six months pregnant and traveling with her husband on the Carnival Nebula, which departed San Juan on May 31 for a seven-day voyage. According to ship staff, Emily joined a limited-capacity midnight bioluminescence tour — a new feature touted as a “once-in-a-lifetime oceanic immersion” — but never returned.
Her husband reported her missing around 2:15 a.m. Crew members initiated an emergency search on board and in surrounding waters, but no trace was found. Carnival has since suspended all midnight excursions and is cooperating fully with Coast Guard and maritime investigators.
“We are deeply concerned for Emily and her family,” said a spokesperson for Carnival. “Our priority is supporting the investigation and those affected.”
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing passengers, though early reports suggest weather and mechanical issues have been ruled out. The investigation remains ongoing.
