Cruise Officials Issue Urgent Safety Alert Following Serious Incident Near Key West
Cruise authorities have released an urgent safety advisory to all passengers and crew after a serious incident occurred aboard the Ocean Majesty near the coast of Key West, Florida. The advisory follows a near-tragic event on Sunday night that led to an emergency response and medical attention onboard.
According to ship officials, a passenger reportedly fell from an upper deck amid rough sea conditions. Thankfully, the individual was rescued promptly by the crew and survived the fall, but the incident has raised significant concerns regarding passenger safety during turbulent weather.
In a strong message, cruise officials reminded all guests of the critical importance of adhering to safety instructions, particularly when using exterior areas like open decks and balconies. “We strongly advise passengers to stay indoors when instructed by staff,” said the ship’s safety officer. “This could have ended in tragedy, and we must treat it as a serious wake-up call.”
