Cruise officials have issued a stern safety warning to all passengers and crew after a serious incident occurred aboard the Ocean Majesty just off the coast of Key West, Florida. The warning follows a near-tragic event that took place late Sunday evening, prompting emergency response and onboard medical intervention.
According to ship representatives, a passenger reportedly fell from one of the upper decks during rough sea conditions. Though the individual survived the fall and was rescued quickly by crew members, the incident raised serious concerns over onboard safety behavior during unstable weather.
In an urgent message, cruise authorities emphasized the importance of following all safety guidelines, especially when navigating exterior decks or balconies. “We are urging all guests to prioritize their safety and remain inside when advised by the crew,” said the ship’s safety officer. “We narrowly avoided a fatality, and we must take this as a serious reminder.”
The Ocean Majesty has temporarily suspended all outdoor deck access during high seas as an added precaution. The cruise line also confirmed that the injured passenger is in stable condition and recovering in the ship’s medical center.
