In a devastating maritime disaster, the Carnival Radiance, a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line, capsized early this morning approximately 20 nautical miles off the coast of Dakar, Senegal. The vessel, which had departed from Lisbon, Portugal, was en route to the Caribbean with over 3,900 passengers and crew members on board.
Preliminary reports indicate that the ship encountered sudden and severe weather conditions, including high winds and rough seas, leading to a critical loss of stability. Despite the crew’s efforts to manage the situation, the vessel listed heavily before overturning.
