DISASTER AT SEA: Carnival Cruise Ship Carnival Radiance Sinks — Over 2,000 Feared Dead

A catastrophic tragedy unfolded early this morning in the North Atlantic Ocean as the Carnival Radiance, a major cruise liner operated by Carnival Cruise Line, sank following a sudden and severe structural failure. The ship, which departed from Southampton, UK, just three days ago en route to New York City, was carrying an estimated 3,800 people on board, including passengers and crew.

According to early reports, the vessel encountered extreme weather conditions overnight, with rogue waves and hurricane-force winds battering the ship in international waters approximately 300 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. Crew members attempted emergency stabilization procedures, but the vessel began listing heavily before completely capsizing and sinking at approximately 4:45 AM local time.

Rescue operations began within hours, with the Canadian Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, and several nearby commercial vessels joining in a desperate search and rescue effort. So far, around 1,500 individuals have been rescued from lifeboats and debris fields. However, over 2,000 remain missing and are feared dead.

Carnival Cruise Line has expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, stating, “We are heartbroken by this unimaginable loss and are doing everything possible to support the families affected.”

This is one of the deadliest cruise ship disasters in modern history.
