Gulf of Guinea – In a shocking turn of events, a Viking cruise ship traveling off the coast of West Africa in the Gulf of Guinea was attacked by heavily armed bandits late last night. The ship, identified as Viking Horizon, was en route from Dakar, Senegal to Cotonou, Benin when the ambush occurred in international waters known for recent pirate activity.
