Carnival Cruise Terminal Erupts in Flames Evacuation Chaos in Long Beach

Long Beach, CA A sudden fire broke out early Sunday morning at the Carnival Cruise Terminal in Long Beach, sending plumes of smoke into the sky and prompting swift emergency response from fire crews and port security.

The blaze, which reportedly started near a storage area adjacent to the main boarding zone, caused temporary chaos as passengers and staff were safely evacuated. No casualties have been reported, and officials say the fire was contained within two hours.

Carnival Cruise Line confirmed the incident and assured the public that all scheduled departures would be adjusted or rerouted to nearby terminals where necessary. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire, with initial reports suggesting an electrical fault may be to blame.

“This could have been much worse,” said one port official. “Thanks to rapid response and safety protocols, we’ve managed to avert a major disaster.”

Passengers affected by delays are being offered full refunds or alternative cruise options.

The terminal remains temporarily closed pending safety inspections.
