Atlantic Ocean In a horrifying attack that has stunned the world, a Carnival Cruise ship en route from PortMiami was ambushed by armed assailants late Saturday night, leaving at least 40 passengers injured in what is being described as the most violent act of piracy in modern cruise history.
Witnesses report that the attackers approached the vessel on speedboats under the cover of darkness, firing shots before boarding the ship. Panic erupted as passengers ran for cover, screams echoing across the decks.
“They came out of nowhere,” said one survivor. “They were masked, heavily armed, and shouting orders. It was pure chaos.”
