Chaos on the Coast: Carnival Cruise Terminal Engulfed in Fire Dream Vacations Delayed
Long Beach, CA – What was supposed to be the start of a dream vacation turned into a fiery nightmare as a massive blaze tore through part of the Carnival Cruise Terminal early Sunday morning.
Flames lit up the pre-dawn sky, casting a red glow over the harbor as thick black smoke billowed from the terminal. Dozens of would-be cruisers watched in disbelief as fire crews battled to contain the inferno.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as “apocalyptic,” with alarms blaring and emergency responders racing against time to prevent the fire from spreading to docked vessels. Miraculously, no injuries were reported, and all passengers and staff were safely evacuated.
Carnival Cruise Line has temporarily suspended operations at the terminal and is working to reroute affected passengers. Investigators suspect the fire originated in a maintenance area but have not ruled out other causes.
“This is a heartbreaking setback,” said one Carnival spokesperson. “But safety remains our top priority.”
The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, but delays and rescheduling are expected throughout the week.
