A Caribbean getaway took a shocking turn when a massive brawl erupted at the Galveston terminal as Carnival Cruise passengers waited to clear customs. Captured on video, the fight spilled past safety barriers, leaving one man on the ground and prompting swift intervention by security.
Carnival has since banned 24 individuals involved, stating: “We will not tolerate such behavior.”
The violence followed tensions from an onboard basketball game. One man, 21-year-old Ethan Meritt-Clark of Chicago, was arrested and now faces a first-degree felony charge after admitting to assaulting an elderly man who tried to break up the fight.
The cruise had just returned from stops in Mexico and Honduras.
