The Celtic changes that are needed after St Johnstone…

Celtic suffered a 1-0 loss to Simo Valakari’s St Johnstone, with Daniels Balodis scoring early in the match. Despite Brendan Rodgers’ team registering 26 shots—nine of them on target—they couldn’t find the net, allowing the league’s bottom side to pull off a surprising win at McDiarmid Park.

As a result, Celtic won’t be able to clinch the title against Kilmarnock this weekend, even though Rangers dropped points to Hibernian on Saturday. The earliest Celtic can secure the championship is if Barry Ferguson’s team loses to Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday, provided Celtic win their match at Celtic Park the day before.

On today’s show, Hamish Carton was joined by Ryan McGinlay to break down Celtic’s disappointing display in Perth, where the team once again struggled away from home in the Scottish Premiership.

With 14 points dropped since January 2, serious doubts are beginning to emerge over the performances of players like Nicolas Kuhn, Adam Idah, Auston Trusty, and others.

Will there be changes for the lunchtime clash with Kilmarnock on Saturday? Can Brendan Rodgers and his team lift themselves out of this slump?
