More than 240 passengers and crew aboard the Queen Mary 2 have fallen ill due to a norovirus outbreak, according to the CDC. The luxury Cunard liner, currently on a roundtrip voyage from Southampton to the Caribbean, is nearing the end of its journey.

 

Symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea, with experts warning of the virus’s highly contagious nature. Cunard has increased sanitation efforts and quarantined those infected. The CDC is monitoring the situation remotely as the ship prepares to return to port on April 6.
